Dr. Marcel Zijlstra

Marcel Zijlstra is a musicologist and classicist. He studied at the universities of Amsterdam and Utrecht. He obtained his doctorate at the latter institution with a thesis on the oral tradition of Gregorian chant. Since 2010 he has taught Music History, Gregorian Chant, Latin and Counterpoint at the Rotterdam Conservatory (Codarts) and the Royal Conservatory in The Hague.
