We are proud to announce the collaboration is again continuing between the KVNM and the Royal Musical Association (RMA, UK)!

As part of an exchange programme between KVNM and RMA, travel scholarships are available for three students to attend the BFE and RMA Research Students' Conference taking place on 10-12 January 2024 at Cardiff University, School of Music (more information here).

Exchange programme KVNM-RMA

Students from Dutch and Flemish Universities can submit their abstracts for this conference (more information here, deadline 15 september 2023) and apply for this exchange scheme. Three abstracts submitted under this scheme will be chosen by representatives of the organization — Annelies Andries (KVNM) and Katherine Williams (RMA) — to be presented as research papers at the conference. The students chosen to present under this scheme will receive a waiver of the conference fee from the RMA and a bursary of up to €250 to cover travel and accommodation costs of the KVNM. There will be a reciprocal arrangement for RMA students to visit the Netherlands the following academic year.

To partake in this exchange programme, in addition to submitting your abstract, you must:

·       Indicate at the top of your abstract: KVNM-RMA exchange programme

·       Include proof of your enrollment in a Master’s or PhD programme at a Dutch or Flemish University for the academic year 2022-2023 or 2023-2024 

·       Be a member of the KVNM (note that the first year of student membership of the KVNM is free: https://www.kvnm.nl/en/membership).

NOTE: abstracts submitted under this scheme will also be submitted to the general programme committee, so that students not chosen under the exchange programme will still be considered by the general programme committee to present their research.
