Dr. Leendert van der Miesen

Leendert van der Miesen studied Musicology and Art Studies at the University of Amsterdam. In 2022, he obtained his PhD from the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin with a thesis on the French music theorist Marin Mersenne. He then worked as a postdoc at the Bibliotheca Hertziana – Max Planck Institut für Kunstgeschichte in Rome. In the spring of 2025, he will be a Research Fellow at the Vossius Center for the History of Humanities and Sciences at the University of Amsterdam.
